Job Description
The Senior Training Manager, Oncology Nurse Educator will be responsible for developing and leading training initiatives for the commercial organization. Reporting to the Associate Director of Training, this individual will collaborate closely with training peers and global trainers to develop comprehensive training related to disease, products, ONE/sales effectiveness, market knowledge, and operations.
This is a hybrid position with the ability to commute to our Mettawa, IL office location at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Maintain subject matter expertise in relevant disease states, products, and therapeutic areas.
Develop and execute training programs and initiatives with minimal guidance.
Design and enhance current curriculum to meet the needs of the commercial organization.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure the accuracy and compliance of training materials.
Manage vendors during the development of training content and execution of contract requirements.
Perform project management functions during training content development.
Lead training meetings, including planning, logistics management, vendor monitoring, and participant conduct.
Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop and roll out training materials that align with brand objectives.
Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide effective, timely, and innovative training solutions.
Collaborate with external partners to deliver best-in-class training.
Build trust and credibility with business partners through regular interaction and proven working partnerships.
Act as a resource for field sales through participation in sales meetings and routine field rides.
Design and lead training sessions at national sales meetings and other events.
Develop and maintain facilitation skills expertise to support training content delivery.
Assess organizational training needs for clinical fluency and development competencies and provide feedback for innovation.
Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; master's degree preferred.
7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or equivalent.
Clinical Practice experience and/or experience in training, marketing, sales, or Oncology Nurse Education in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is preferred.
Knowledge in relevant disease areas is preferred.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and training design concepts is a plus.

High level of professionalism and ability to excel in a cross-functional environment.
Capability to work in an unstructured environment.
Strategic insight to prioritize important initiatives effectively.
Exceptional oral presentation skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with technology platforms (e.g., iPAD) and programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel) is highly desirable.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
