The Applications team is looking for a Software QA Automation Engineer to lead automation efforts for the next generation of applications and services. This position requires an ambitious individual with strong analytical and creative problem solving skills who can contribute in a fast-paced, diverse team environment.
Description
In this role, the Software QA Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and tools used to test consumer apps and services. This involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams of software developers, QA engineers, and project managers. Other responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing test results, maintaining databases for test cases, and reporting on the quality of features. Additionally, this position may require API testing and UI testing as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Automation experience with high-level knowledge of modern scripting or compiled languages such as Python, Java, or Swift
Capacity to define/design/develop/maintain test automation frameworks plus experience with Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins)
Expertise with Software Version Control systems like Git (GitHub/Gitlab)
Experience with API testing and familiarity with server architecture
Proficiency with Xcode
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and SQA methodologies
Capability to investigate problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
Demonstrated ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in manual/UI testing and willingness to engage in both
Experience automating testing of native app frameworks
Ability to develop and maintain testing tools
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
