Overview:

American Express is seeking a highly motivated PM to support the Vice President of Digital Workplace Product Management .

This role is designed for a strategic partner who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution—helping drive business priorities, operational excellence, and leadership alignment. The Program Manager will be a core member of the Product Management Leadership Team, enabling them to maximize impact by managing business rhythms, connecting cross-functional priorities, and ensuring successful execution of key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partner to Leadership – Act as a trusted advisor, helping to set priorities, track progress, and ensure alignment with enterprise goals.

  • Business Rhythm Management – Coordinate and execute leadership routines (business reviews, staff meetings, town halls), ensuring preparation, follow-up, and high-quality outputs.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment – Connect the dots across Digital Workplace and partner teams to drive execution of enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Operational Excellence – Manage tasks, reporting, and key performance metrics to monitor progress and identify areas of improvement.

  • Transpare nt Management - Monitors and communicates the progress of project delivery, providing regular updates to stakeholders on cost, forecast, schedule, and risk assessment

  • Collaborator - Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives

Experience:

  • Experience in leading in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic global environment

  • Experience in managing/leading technology implementation projects

  • Experience in project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, Excel, Tableau)

  • Experience in business case development

  • Experience in data analysis

  • Experience in stakeholder management and/or leading complex governance structures

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Technology and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred

  • Project Management certification preferred

Qualifications

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefits
