Description
The Director of Interactive Experiences - Retail leads the overarching program management of design initiatives for global digital commerce platforms for direct touch-points including global online store, applications, and in-store demos and tools. This role champions Apple’s products, services, and key initiatives by overseeing the planning and design of current and future features, while continuously exploring new approaches to streamline processes and deliver exceptional work.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with leadership and partner teams across Marcom, Apple Retail, Retail Engineering, and other critical stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and deliver compelling design strategies and interactive platforms.
Provide oversight to a team of teams, ensuring alignment on vision, proactive thinking, and delivery to the utmost craft Apple expects while valuing efficiency.
Manage budgets, the intake pipeline, evaluation, and tracking of all initiatives to avoid duplication of effort, encourage collaboration, future-proof development plans, and create space for innovation.
Contribute a strong strategic, business, and creative point of view to advocate for outstanding work within the Apple community.
Manage, develop, and empower a team of talented producers to grow and excel in their roles, strengthening partnerships, and managing high-quality work.
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience with deep background in interactive strategy, delivery and technology in a communications agency/studio or in-house marketing communications organizations.
10+ years with direct people management experience.
Project management process expertise in leading traditional Interactive site work, mobile app development, platform project management, and delivering strategies to integrate across these platforms.
Experienced in managing complex digital marketing and e-commerce platforms.
Track record of quickly mastering new technical areas and applying creative problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions.
History of success navigating matrixed organizations and building trust to effectively influence outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
A strong vision for content, experience design, and technology, ensuring that it operates in a modern, safe, and effective way.
Passionate about innovation and new technology, promoting their application to further improve our creative output.
Experience with program and product management functions for transactional websites.
Detail-oriented and hands-on, supporting teams by understanding and guiding the end-to-end interactive process.
Strong analytical skills, able to understand customer data and convert it into insights and actions.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $263,100 and $420,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
