Apple’s Music Creation Apps’ team is searching for our next member to join the international team of designers, engineers, and music producers that craft Apple’s Logic Pro, GarageBand, and Voice Memos. We need your vision to help design the apps that will shape the way music is made.
Description
From brainstorming through implementation, as a Product Designer, you will work with members of the Music Creation Apps team, including other designers, software engineers, sound designers, product managers, and other teams across Apple. You will need to quickly grasp and distill highly sophisticated matters into clean, understandable solutions with a good knowledge of how musicians think about and create their art. You will need to be an effective diplomat and storyteller with strong communication and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of work experience with a focus on product design and UI across a variety of platforms like iOS, Mac, web, or others.
Must have solid understanding and practical work experience in UX design for creative applications
Degree in music technology, music production, interaction design, UX design, visual design, or equivalent related degree.
Experience in shipping digital products from start to finish, including the documentation and development process.
Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high-fidelity comps, and presentations. Highly skilled and fast in any tools you need to visualize your ideas and deliver the work.
Enthusiasm and history working in an iterative design process, motivated by group critique. Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication and ability to present work to large groups and executives.
A portfolio showcasing UX design work.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of music production and creation software such as: Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, ProTools, GarageBand, BandLab, or equivalent.
Solid understanding of, and engagement in, music creation, either as a musician, producer, recording engineer, or similar.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
