The Apple Health Special Projects team is seeking a UX / Product Designer to help shape the next generation of health and wellness experiences. You’ll collaborate with designers, engineers, clinicians, and researchers to create simple, intuitive, and human-centered products that empower users to live healthier, more active lives. This role blends craft and curiosity—ideal for a designer who loves solving complex problems with elegant, user-focused solutions.

This is site-based role.

Description

As part of the Apple Health team, you’ll play a key role in designing new features and experiences across Apple’s Health ecosystem. From early concept explorations to high-fidelity execution, you’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to turn complex health concepts into clear, meaningful interactions.

You’ll create sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs that bring clarity to the product experience, advocating for users at every stage. You’ll also participate in design critiques, collaborate with engineers to ensure fidelity through implementation, and contribute to the continual evolution of our design standards and systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Design thoughtful, intuitive user experiences across iOS, watchOS, and related platforms.

• Translate complex requirements and data into clear and engaging interfaces.

• Create design artifacts—from early concepts and flows to production-ready assets.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, clinicians, and data scientists to ensure quality and consistency from concept through launch.

• Participate in regular design critiques, incorporating feedback to refine and strengthen your work.

• Contribute to and extend existing design patterns while exploring new solutions for emerging needs.

• Help maintain alignment with Apple’s design principles of simplicity, clarity, and care for detail.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in UX or product design

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong interaction and visual design across devices

  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Sketch, Figma, Keynote, etc.)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Comfort working collaboratively in multi-functional teams

  • Passion for creating intuitive, accessible, and delightful experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Mandarin (simplified Chinese) - written and spoken, highly preferred

  • Experience designing for health, wellness, or data-rich products

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI, ML, conversational interfaces, or spatial computing)

  • Skills in prototyping, motion, or data visualization are a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
