You will play a critical role in leading and defining the future direction of our Retail Stores. This role will lead the teams that define strategic initiatives that impact the store experience, drive commercial performance and deliver programs that enhance our stores operations.

Description

As the Global Director of Retail Store Experience and Sales Operations, you are responsible for collaborating with cross functional business partners worldwide to design and deliver programs and strategies that elevate the team and customer experience, attract new customers and build loyalty with existing customers. The successful candidate will also play a meaningful role in providing insight, guidance, and direction to the team, partners and leadership to drive in store performance and for the overall execution of Apple business priorities. Key cross-functional partners outside of Retail Operations include the Store teams, Apple Store Online, Retail Engagement & Marketing, Real Estate, People, Product Marketing, Finance and more.

Responsibilities

  • Create retail and customer experience strategies and building innovative solutions and identify continuous improvement opportunities to deliver on business goals

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of in-store performance and effectively use metrics, data, and analysis to inform critical initiatives and opportunities. Regularly present findings and strategies to executive audiences.

  • Partner globally and cross-functionally to understand broader market dynamics, challenges and opportunities for our Retail Stores to inform strategies and key operational program optimizations. Communicate ideas in a way that gains consensus and builds partnership.

  • Lead and guide the team to deliver complex projects. Develop project justification proposals, business cases and return on investment estimates; acquire executive approval and funding.

  • Foster a customer-centric approach to problem-solving, demonstrating profound passion and comprehension of customer needs and the in-store employee experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of People Leadership experience in a strategic role with experience in establishing vision, goals and developing strategic and tactical execution plans.

  • 15+ years of experience in retail operations, retail strategy, or a related corporate field.

  • Highly strategic with expert knowledge of the global retail industry, commerce and omni channel trends.

  • Proven Ability to prioritize, plan, delegate and implement strategies, programs and projects optimally; successfully navigating and executing in corporate structures.

  • Keen analysis of data and information, understand sales performance and identify trends and opportunities.

  • Passionate people manager that enables a culture of performance by building capabilities of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication and mentoring.

  • Business travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong strategic storytelling and presentation skills with proven experience presenting to executive audience.

  • Master’s degree in relevant field (MBA a plus) or equivalent experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $254,800 and $408,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
