Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Create Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO) and process engineering changes by reviewing the details on the drawings to ensure the drawings meet Apple standard requirements. Work with Product Designers and Engineering Project Manager to ensure an accurate BOM structure for CM to create manufacturer BOM for prototype to mass production. Create and manage engineering specification documents in Agile. Work with the cross-functional Engineering team to ensure the specification is released in Agile properly. Coordinate with the Apple Care team to ensure we have the right module for Apple Care BOM. Work with the World Wide Product Configuration Management team to push ECO and MCO to planning and execution. Manage supply chain and final assemblies material from protoype to design validation testing phase and issue orders to supply chain vendors and upstream vendors. Work closely with PD and EPM to gather all the information needed before releasing the order. Work closely with vendor and contract manufacturer on delivery dates and quantities. Keep daily communication with both vendor and CM on material changes, qty changes, part revision updates, or order cancelation. Maintain material information via an Internal system ( Nimbus ) and Excel sheets. Purchase Requisition(PR) for the material Purchase Order (PO), Invoices. Create PR and help to follow up with the approval routing. Manage a small part of the budget via internal tools to ensure money is there as needed. Follow up with the Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to ensure they validate and provide approval to invoice on time. Work with Apple customs, CM, or freight team for any logistic issues for smoother deliveries. International Travel required 25% 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,157 - $183,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Experience in product Lifecycle management, including experience managing Bill of Material and Engineering Change orders by using Agile Software

  • Using Excel to manage large data for complex demand and supply planning

  • Using SAP or equivalent experience to manage purchase-to-pay

  • Material Management experience, including managing large data for complex demand and supply planning

  • Program management experience, including conducting Vendor and CM management, and experience communicating with factories during the build process.

  • Experience with materials on hand, material shortages, estimated time of arrivals (ETAs), configurations, and late order released

  • Managing budgets experience in fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness including ensuring timely issuance of vendor purchase order
