Enterprise Data Management & Products (EDMP), a key part of our Technology organization, focuses on delivering data products that fuel business growth and unlock value, while also shaping robust data management strategies and governance solutions. Third Party Data Scanning will support the activation of third-party data management at American Express through the enablement of our automated data transfer scanning roadmap. Coordinating across a diverse cross-functional group of teams and leaders, this role will enable the uplift of critical capabilities related to the discovery and control of data sharing with third parties.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain strategic insight into the competitive landscape and emerging data privacy, GDPR, risk considerations.
Work with business stakeholders to understand needs, prioritize projects, and define clear requirements for technology partners with regards to external data sharing tools, while keeping team capacity and goals in mind.
Through orchestration with business, GCO, operational risk and compliance, and technology teams, aid in solutions for third parties with respect to data leaving American Express
Conduct business impact analysis and execute change in response to regulatory shifts
Execute product roadmap as a Product Owner and translate business/customer needs to create features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, taking E2E ownership for our external data sharing products & capabilities through the entire product cycle from conception, envisioning and testing through to delivery.
Drive collaborative spirit when working with technology, business stakeholders, and key partners across the enterprise through frequent and open communication.
Qualifications:
3 years of experience in product management, privacy technology, or a related technical role.
Experience (or strong interest in) in privacy subject matter, and specifically privacy technology is a plus.
Recent experience in a Product Management or Analyst role writing stories and acceptance criteria utilizing Rally or JIRA.
Prioritizing work for a scrum team and making difficult tradeoffs in an Agile environment.
Excellent listening and communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and information across a broad range of stakeholders
Collaboration and leadership skills that help navigate cross-functional teams and build relationships, to influence decisions and deliver on shared objectives.
Great organization skills to balance answering questions and responding to needs of various stakeholders while continuing to drive delivery.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
