How will you make an impact in this role?
A thriving lending business is core to the success of American Express and achieving its growth aspirations. The International Lending COE Team supports this mission by partnering with market teams to develop and optimize borrowing options for cardmembers (e.g. credit cards, structured payment plans, lending payment constructs) and engagement tactics (e.g. promotional pricing campaigns, spend stimulation programs, portfolio migrations) to capture a greater share of consumer and SBS borrowing activity.
The Strategy & Activation team within the International Lending COE aims to build the model to reward our best customers and unlock future customers with relevant offers and marketing treatments by creating differentiated marketing experiences for our lending products through critical targeting, analytics and planning capabilities. Ultimately, this will enable us to make optimal investment decisions and deliver more efficient campaigns with better outcomes.
The successful candidate for this role must be customer-oriented, have a marketing driven mindset, and be able to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders across markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Work across lend teams and markets to develop a thorough understanding of our lend products and treatments, identify best practices and lead a Lending community to learn from one another
Partner to deliver new customer personas and segmentation, improving performance metrics and profitability for customers that borrow
Own the Lending Test & Learn program, to improve campaign performance
Partner with colleagues in Finance and Business Analytics to design and align optimal investment model for marketing activities
Partner to enable tagging/tracking (eg- Adobe) in our payment journeys and ensure best marketing measurement strategies are monitored
Extract insights to support markets with go to market campaign support including innovating on strategies and opportunities to drive accelerated lending revenue growth
Identify and improve our digital tools so marketers can deliver campaigns faster and more effectively
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong marketing acumen with experience and knowledge across digital channels (mobile apps, MYCA/web, etc).One to two years experience preferred, but not required.
Comfortable navigating through ambiguity, relying on a strong foundation of organizational and prioritization skills
Superior relationship management skills with ability to engage and collaborate with business partners
Experience and/or strong interest of working with International markets
Excellent collaborator with outstanding verbal and written skills to influence across and upwards
Strong analytical skills (eg- excel) or the interest and capacity to learn
Experience with Adobe Analytics or similar marketing measurement tools is preferred
Winning attitude that motivates and encourages, with a sense of humour.
University degree or equivalent working experience required.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
