Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design, develop, and debug baseband platform software by working with various teams of engineers to design and develop software that controls the baseband processor in a cellular phone or other wireless device. Apply knowledge of cellular 3GPP standards, radio signal processing, and C/C++ software development skills to grasp the telemetry needs of embedded telecommunication systems that utilize cellular standards. Collect data about the performance of the system, such as signal strength, battery performance, and signal transmitting delay. Analyze the telemetry needs of the system to collect and transmit the data in a way that is efficient and reliable from collaborating with other teams. Code and debug in an embedded environment system, utilizing real-time operating system knowledge. Collaborate with peers to conduct code reviews and continuous integration in an embedded building infrastructure. Maintain pipelines that verify the functionality of modules when they are integrated with others' code. Ensure that the performance requirements are met while incorporating telemetry as per specifications. Incorporate telemetry into the software to collect data about the performance of the system. Collaborate in a multifaceted, cross-functional, and multisite work setting by collating with people from different teams and locations. Work with engineers responsible for different aspects of the stems including hardware design, software development, and testing. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• Education and/or experience must include each of the following skills:

• Utilizing systems architecture, and machine learning to design and develop platform software

• Coding in an embedded environment using real-time operating systems

• Assessing data collection and transmission requirements for efficiency and reliability

• Participating in code reviews and continuous integration in an embedded infrastructure

• Maintaining pipelines to verify functionality of integrated modules

• Utilizing data systems and advanced software engineering principles to incorporate data collection into software design

• Incorporating data collection and analysis into the software

• Utilizing data analytics tools for processing and interpreting collected data using machine learning algorithms
