Description
As a Sales Director for FoodHandler, you will be responsible for creating, developing and driving sales for FoodHandler's glove business in our Western U.S. Market. You will direct and coordinate sales activities with 5-10 FoodHandler Broker Partners, including development of sales strategies and communication. Each Broker partner could have 25-50 sales reps selling our product through their distribution line. Your job will be to ensure they have the tools needed to support those sales and to ensure they are motivated to sell FoodHandler gloves over other competing brands they may carry.
This role covers the Southwest geography including California, Nevada and Arizona. Ideal employee will be based near our Anaheim, CA office.
Responsibilities:
Maintain leadership, training, and development of FoodHandler broker network.
Continue development of key customers and target accounts with on-going growth to ensure meeting or exceeding established expectations.
Demonstrate remote leadership competency and motivate and engage team members via in person, telephone, and technology methods.
Provide superior training and development and hire top talent to improve the territory and organization.
Monitor and drive the sales, profitability and working capital results of all sales team members and coach team to achieve set goals.
Drive continued development of key customers and target accounts with on-going growth to meet or exceed established expectations. Ensure we are delivering the maximum value for each customer.
Communicate and coordinate with internal staff (Purchasing, Customer Service, Warehousing, Accounting and Marketing) to maximize customer satisfaction.
Drive a strong customer service mentality and build deeper and wider relationships with current and prospective customers.
Develop sales budgets by team member, holding each accountable
Overnight travel of 40-50% can be expected in this position
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
5+ years of sales management experience with a proven track record selling in business to business environment.
Experience leading and influencing sales representatives outside of your organization in a distributor, broker or retail environment
Successful experience working with food service distributors and multi-location chains is highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to understand market in which you are selling and the deployment of resources that ensure maximum coverage and product exposure
Proficient PC skills required
Extensive overnight travel required
Bunzl Salary range is $110,000 - $150,000 + bonus and car allowance) determined by education, experience and geography.
