Apple Cloud Networking team builds and operates Software-defined network platforms that work at scale to deliver a multi-Cloud network and security with a global footprint. We are a fast moving team at forefront of crafting Apple’s hybrid cloud network infrastructure that fuels Apple’s services such as iCloud, iTunes, Siri, and Maps.
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead and expand a diverse team of highly skilled engineers focused on advancing the evolution of Apple network services. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering teams across Apple to deliver the foundational infrastructure that powers our global services.
As a key leader, you will define and drive the vision and strategy for our Network Platform solutions. You will be responsible for building, scaling, and nurturing a cohesive, high-performing team that is passionate about innovation, reliability, and impact at scale.
Your role will involve forging strong cross-functional partnerships to align with stakeholders, ensuring that our solutions meet evolving business and technical needs while upholding the highest standards of reliability, resilience, and security.

Description
Lead the execution of engineering initiatives by guiding sprint planning, prioritization, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Set the technical direction for the team through active participation in architectural design and rigorous code reviews, fostering a high standard of engineering excellence.
Collaborate with technical program managers, senior engineers, and customer teams to deliver core networking solutions that span and support multiple product organizations.
Partner with the recruiting team to identify, attract, and hire exceptional engineering talent, contributing to the growth of a world-class development team.
Manage and mentor team members through regular one-on-one meetings, career development planning, and performance evaluations, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment.
Drive the execution and delivery of new features and iterative improvements for internal stakeholders on a regular cadence.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by coaching engineers, encouraging innovation, and supporting professional growth.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software development.
At least 4 years of experience in a technical leadership position, including responsibilities for people management.
Demonstrated technical expertise with the ability to engage in deep technical discussions to support sound decision-making.
Proven track record in designing and building highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Solid experience with network infrastructure and software-defined networking (SDN).
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Broad experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and micro-services architectures.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong capability to manage priorities, meet aggressive deadlines, and drive initiatives to completion.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols and routing mechanisms.
Comprehensive understanding of networking solutions spanning OSI layers 3 through 7.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
