We are hiring a Project Manager who will partner with cross functional partners to lead successful employee experience initiatives through agile project management for Apple’s Total Rewards team, focusing on immigration. Areas of primary responsibility will include employee experience, vendor performance management, process improvement, and process design.
Description
The Project Manager will lead multiple strategic projects and programs of varying scale and complexity to support the organization’s overall business objectives. The ideal candidate possesses deep subject matter expertise in process improvement and process design, and possess a strong quality ethos, and is able to transition seamlessly between projects. Ability to gather and analyze information from a variety of disparate sources to inform decisions is essential to success in this role. Lead the project team and SMEs responsible for achieving project milestones and project deliverables across our immigration portfolio. Incorporate relevant data to deliver a clear problem statement and objectives. Approach project work through traditional and agile project management models depending on need. Offer solutions where none previously existed. Closely partner and collaborate with key stakeholders through a governance structure. Solve problems autonomously. Apply good judgment to make key project decisions. Manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change related to your projects. Escalate issues when necessary and advocate for responsible solutions as it relates to immigration. Plan and facilitate meetings. Support and collaborate with other project managers on the team. Advanced Excel/Numbers, PowerPoint and Keynote skills. Experience creating rich analysis and transforming data into useful insights
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in project management with a demonstrated understanding of the project lifecycle
Background leading HR projects with a focus in transformation and process improvement
Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools, including Project Charters, Project Plans, Roadmaps, Risk Registers, Issue Logs, Change Logs, Decision making models, and Debrief Reports
Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to listen and to build a collaborative environment
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana, Jira)
Excellent presentation and written communication skills
Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Masters degree in management or similar
Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, PMP, PMI, or similar
Comfortable utilizing Mac operating systems
Global immigration experience and knowledge of US Immigration laws
Experience working globally and preferably managing in a virtual, geographically diverse organization
Technical acumen, ability to embrace and leverage new technology
Proficient knowledge in iWork suite to create deliverables and presentations
