The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios. The USCS team is focused on making membership an indisputable competitive advantage and helping each other become better leaders every day.
The U.S. Cobrand Product Analytics team within USCS is a key function that informs and drives product strategy and customer experience through data driven insights. This team is at the core of producing outstanding statistical methodologies and techniques to better understand customer level economics and behavioral trends for Cobrand card products.
The Senior Manager of Cobrand Product Data Analytics is responsible for leading analytical projects to support and inform the U.S. Consumer Cobrand Product strategy and product refreshes. As a partner to the entire Co-Brand team, this is a great opportunity to gain exposure to portfolio management and strategic initiatives. The role will work cross functionally across several groups including Product Management, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics to inform business insights and drive strategies through data analytics.
Responsibilities:
Leverage complex data sources to extract meaningful insights used to deliver actionable recommendations for strategic decision making.
Manage ad-hoc projects and partner closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, etc. to identify opportunity areas and deliver analytical solutions.
Communicate analytics-based insights to U.S. Consumer Card leadership team and cross-functional partners to shape Co-Brand portfolio strategy.
Structure both internal and external data efficiently to analyze trends, develop segmentations, and evaluate customer profiles.
Develop strong relationships with internal partners to understand and help frame key business problems.
Critical Factors to Success:
Experience in manipulating and extracting insights from large and complex datasets.
Strong critical thinking abilities and analytical skills to provide insights in addressing and resolving business challenges and opportunities.
Good understanding of card economics with proven success in driving business results via strategic analysis.
Good quantitative skills with a solid understanding of probability and statistics.
Sound knowledge of Machine learning algorithms / statistics / data mining / regression and research methods.
Strong programming skills in SQL/BigQuery; experience with an analytical language (Python, R or the equivalent) is a plus.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills – enjoys working as part of a larger team and fostering relationships.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred in the following areas: Analytics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, Quantitative Economics, or related quantitative fields.
3 plus years professional experience driving performance optimization through the application of advanced decision sciences.
Strong hands-on expertise using big data programming languages to manipulate large-scale datasets and perform statistical analysis (e.g. SQL, Python, and Big Data analytic techniques).
A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven track record of driving innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to understand data and synthesize it into real-world meaning.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
