Job Description
This is a critical leadership role within AbbVie BTS, serving as Director, BTS Manufacturing Solutions Integration. The position provides strategic and tactical leadership to deliver and support technology strategies that enable Operations M&A activities including mergers, acquisitions, new plant builds, and plant expansions. The role drives transformative business systems strategy and ensures seamless integration and delivery of key business solutions during periods of organizational change and growth.
Responsibilities
Define and implement strategies for integrating manufacturing technology solutions during plant builds, expansions, and acquisitions.
Lead the delivery and seamless integration of global IT and manufacturing systems for new, expanded, and newly acquired manufacturing sites.
Lead the development and implementation of large-scale programs, from business case creation through full delivery and support.
Facilitate innovative technology solutions for operation transitions, ensuring business continuity and value creation.
Act as business partner for Operations, M&A teams, and plant expansion leaders; build and maintain collaborative relationships.
Align BTS strategies with overall AbbVie business objectives, focusing on scalable and adaptable systems.
Oversee project management for Operations M&A assigned deals, drive issue resolution, and ensure disciplined execution across all phases, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration steps.
Financial responsibility of projects up to ~$25MM budgets.
Attract, develop, and retain BTS staff, fostering an environment of engagement and growth.
Ensure compliance with Corporate and external policies/regulations (e.g., GxP, SOX, HIPAA, ISO).
Champion continuous improvement, benchmarking, and adoption of best practices in systems delivery and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 10 years’ experience OR Master’s Degree and 9 years’ experience OR PhD and 5 years’ experience; MS/MBA preferred.
10+ years of IT management experience (with advanced degree, less may be required).
Experience leading and organizing cross-functional teams, ideally in M&A and plant transformation environments.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ?
