Apple's growing Product Integrity Strategic Engineering Program Management (EPM) group plays a critical role in ensuring we ship products across the world that comply with global chemical regulations and meet Apple’s Smarter Chemistry goals. Our team is looking for a forward-thinking, hard-working, and motivated Engineering Program Manager to partner with a variety of cross-functional Apple teams to support chemical regulatory deliverables and engagement. Description
We are looking for self-motivated, fast learners with excellent verbal and written communication skills who are eager to collaborate with multiple internal and external teams to drive the adoption of innovative solutions through product design and engineering, directed at creating world-class products using materials that protect human and environmental health in support of Apple’s Smarter Chemistry goals. The ideal candidate will establish strong relationships with partners, understand their goals and objectives, and help navigate conflicts and competing priorities with diplomacy and data-driven insights.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
5+ years of relevant experience in consumer electronics and chemical regulatory compliance
Demonstrated track record in chemical regulatory advocacy
Demonstrated familiarity with global environmental product compliance requirements (e.g., RoHS, REACH) and standards (e.g., IEEE 1680.1)
Knowledge and experience in green chemistry and the human and environmental health impacts of chemicals
Demonstrated track record monitoring and ensuring compliance to restricted substance regulations and standards in the electronics sector
Proficiency in program management – leading, organizing, and driving work you're doing of complex projects with tight timelines
Ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations and fostering team collaboration.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to clearly organize and convey information across functions and levels.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Eager to learn and be part of a team
Willingness and ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
MSME/MSEE/MSCE or MBA preferred, but not required
Working knowledge of medical device hardware, testing, and manufacturing processes
Technical project/product management experience
Knowledge in analytical testing (spectroscopic, chromatographic, and wet chemistry) and toxicology methods
