At Apple, we focus deeply on our customers’ experience. Apple Ads brings this same approach to advertising, helping people find exactly what they’re looking for and helping advertisers grow their businesses.
Our technology powers ads and sponsorships across Apple Services, including the App Store, Apple News, and MLS Season Pass. Everything we do is designed for trust, connection, and impact: We respect user privacy, integrate advertising thoughtfully into the experience, and deliver value for advertisers of all sizes—from small app developers to big, global brands. Because when advertising is done right, it benefits everyone.
We’re looking for a creative, curious, and customer-obsessed storyteller with a journalism and advertising background and strong project management skills to lead the creation of compelling customer success stories and testimonials. As the Customer Success Story Manager and Writer, you will be responsible not only for discovering and crafting engaging customer narratives but also for managing the full lifecycle of content development—from ideation and interviews to approvals and publication.
This role requires someone who understands the creative demands of performance and brand advertising campaigns, the structure of strong narrative storytelling, and the business value of customer proof. You’ll lead the entire process—from identifying the right customers and conducting interviews to writing, managing approvals, and collaborating with marketers to deploy customer content across channels.
Description
In this role, you will lead the development of impactful customer stories by identifying, sourcing, and prioritizing narratives that align with strategic business objectives. You’ll manage the entire story lifecycle, from planning and stakeholder coordination to scheduling and final delivery—ensuring that every project is executed on time and to the highest standard. A key part of your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth interviews with customers to uncover authentic, results-driven stories that highlight clear business outcomes. You will craft compelling content, including case studies, testimonials, articles, and video scripts, designed to bring customer journeys to life with clarity and emotional resonance. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to gather insights, align messaging, and identify strong customer advocates. You’ll also be responsible for overseeing the content approval process, making sure all materials are accurate, on-brand, and signed off by both internal and external stakeholders. To support efficiency and scale, you’ll build and maintain robust systems, including content calendars and a centralized repository of published and in-progress stories. Additionally, you'll ensure that all stories are optimized for multiple formats—ranging from Keynote presentations and web pages to videos and both short- and long-form written narratives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising or related field.
8+ years professional writing experience, with a strong background in journalism, storytelling, or content marketing.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong sense of structure, voice, and tone.
A portfolio of published customer case studies or journalistic features.
Strong interviewing and editorial skills with the ability to translate complex customer experiences into clear and compelling narratives.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills—comfortable working with customers, including executives.
Project management experience—able to juggle multiple deadlines and stakeholders with attention to detail.
An understanding of campaign performance metrics and the value of highlighting customer success to drive business outcomes.
B2B marketing experience, especially in a growth-stage or high-velocity marketing environment.
