The Privacy & Law Enforcement Team is a team of dedicated professionals within Apple’s legal department who manage and respond to all legal requests received from law enforcement agencies globally, including subpoenas, court orders and search warrants. The team also responds to emergency requests globally on a 24/7 basis. The Systems Manager will be responsible for the roadmap and implementation of all of the technical solutions used by these professionals to respond to law enforcement requests, including the a web portal for law enforcement agencies.

Description

Own the relationship between the Law Enforcement business team and internal IS&T engineering resources.
Complete the annual process for socializing and submitting IS&T project requests on behalf of Law Enforcement business team.
Manage and facilitate weekly status calls with key business stakeholders and IS&T. Produce and publish weekly status documentation to all stakeholders.
Own and drive cross-functional system projects from ideation to completion, ensure each project is completed on time, in scope, with business requirements delivered.
Conduct requirements sessions with legal specialists, ensure design and UI specs are approved before software is developed.
Ensure user acceptance test plans and scripts and provide end-user communication and training prior to rollout.
Drive the adoption of new or enhanced software products/tools to manage the processing of law enforcement requests.
Facilitate the resolution of production and performance issues of software products including web portal - communicate with users, coordinate troubleshooting efforts among teams where needed.
Coordinate all facets of new system releases including user acceptance testing, training, and system user documentation.
Oversee multiple contractors who are assigned to: requirements writing, UAT plans and scripts creation, and general daily support to legal specialists.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HTML, XML, JavaScript.

  • 5+ years experience writing business requirements for a variety of solutions.

  • Knowledge of task management solutions (ServiceNow, JIRA, Wrike, etc.).

  • Awareness of multiple API technologies (JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, XML, etc.).

  • Proficiency in software development life cycles and reporting tools such as Business Objects and Tableau.

  • MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience in Software Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to forge trusting relationships and work globally as a member of a cross-functional, geographically diverse team.

  • Previous experience managing outsourced contractors.

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
