Description
- Daily management of designated logistics third party providers from domestic distribution centers in accordance with prescribed KPI with emphasis on continuous improvement
- Management of designated logistics projects and programs to improve overall transportation execution with an unwavering emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Development and execution of appropriate SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) in Americas transportation network in support of the various AMR business segments
- Working and planning with supplier base on key events such as Peak season and New Product Introductions
- Strategic management of transportation network in support of Americas region to support immediate and long term company goals
- Tactical management of critical delivery events to ensure cost optimization and on time delivery service in fast moving environment where sense of urgency is required while maintaning the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Working with cross functional teams within the Americas Operations team to introduce, develop and implement new transportation programs while also providing key business management reporting on the Americas transportation network performance.
- Management of weekly and monthly supplier related meetings including setting priorities and key actions based on data analysis identifying key drivers to success
- Partnering with Finance team on identifying and implementing quantifiable cost savings
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Required with 5 years minimum experience in transportation/logistics industry
Preferred Qualifications
Should be systems literate such as TMS and/or sea freight management software, track and trace tools, as well as possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Continuous improvement background (Six Sigma or LEAN) with a focus on root cause analysis and identifying actions.
Experience in a fast moving industry (high tech, consumer electronics) is preferred
Ability to work in dynamic, cross-functional teams, each with specific responsibilities, while demonstrating strong work ethic and a high degree of flexibility
Strong verbal and written communication skills, where no communication leaves ambiguity for the recipient
Proficiency with data analytics and proven ability to analyze complex data sets and use insights to tell a clear and concise story to influence decision making
Ability to innovate inefficient processes by developing home grown tools (e.g. Tableau dashboards) that enable partners to focus on strategic initiatives
