Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Architect and develop end-to-end systems to drive new capabilities in the real-time domains. Responsible for the entire backend stack, from data ingestion and processing to query performance and product design. Develop search features for real-time domains, including news, weather, sports, flights, and stocks. Develop and manage the real-time data ingestion pipelines and machine learning algorithms used to power the results to the finest details in the final UI. Create rich user interfaces powered by sophisticated and high-performance backend systems. Collaborate with teams across Apple to ensure features are fully integrated across different platforms. Work closely with operations and project management teams. Work with big data technologies to index large-scale data. Perform ad-hoc statistical analysis and present the results of the analysis to team and leadership across Apple. Compute metrics to measure the success of the services being built. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,259 - $204,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.

• Education and/or experience must include:

• Knowledge of least 2 of the following programming languages to work on multi-language codebase: C/C++, Python, Java, or Golang

• Working with public cloud infrastructure and services like AWS

• Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms, including knowledge in search and ranking systems

• Utilizing statistical knowledge to analyze test results

• Working with big data technologies, including Hadoop and Spark to process large-scale data

• Utilizing SQL to query and analyze data from logs

• Knowledge of Information retrieval algorithms
