Imagine what you could do here! At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion, dedication, and leadership to solving operational challenges, and there’s no telling what you could accomplish. We are seeking a highly capable, diligent Project Manager to join our IT Operations team, with in IS&T’s Partner Solutions & Technology team. Our team supports software development for a portfolio that contains both large and high-profile products as well as a collection of 20+ smaller products.

Description

This is a hands-on, builder role where you will help define and drive operational practices, not simply maintain existing ones — building relationships with software development teams including, project managers, engineering managers, and internal customers; backing up leadership in key meetings; driving adoption of new processes; and ensuring operational efficiency across a fast paced, sophisticated environment.

You will be trusted to use strong discernment: independently taking action when appropriate and pulling leadership in when needed. Success requires being comfortable operating without perfect information, navigating ambiguity, influencing outcomes, and coordinating multiple sources of truth.

  • Drive the design and adoption of new operational processes and workflows, ensuring
    consistency and clarity across teams

  • Independently find opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency; propose
practical solutions and inspire change across multiple teams

  • Lead and unify multiple sources of truth across systems and tools, bringing clarity to portfolio
tracking, reporting, and workforce capacity planning

  • Prepare and deliver executive-ready reports and dashboards, translating complex workforce
and project data into actionable insights

  • Drive financial stewardship, ensuring we know what we’ve spent, what we will spend, and how
we are delivering to our plan

  • Foster a culture of operational perfection, accountability, and continuous improvement across
    the portfolio

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in leading and influencing across matrixed organizations, balancing independence with strategic escalation when appropriate

  • Strong experience in following technical skills: Excel (pivot tables, data analysis), dashboards, financial reporting or Keynote/presentation skills

  • Understanding fragmented data across multiple systems and drive towards a unified operational view

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Operations Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of project management experience, successfully delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting to leadership and executive stakeholders

  • Deep passion for operational excellence & building sustainable processes

  • General understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum) to effectively support engineering teams

  • Experienced in the following skills: Miro (process mapping and collaborative planning), Wrike (or similar PM tools such as Smartsheet) and Tableau
