We are seeking an experienced, thoughtful, and entrepreneurial individual to lead efforts to grow viewership, engagement, users, and subscriptions for our growing portfolio of sports properties and partnerships. You will regularly interface with senior executives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout Apple as well as our league partners to solve problems and implement programs that achieve core business objectives. The role requires a highly-motivated and adaptive self-starter to meet goals and hard deadlines. Candidates should have exceptional stakeholder and partner management skills, the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines, a strong strategic and analytical mindset, a proven track record of building and sustaining successful digital businesses, and a deep understanding of the sports and video streaming landscape.
Description
In this role, you will set goals and strategic objectives for, and then lead all phases of, initiatives that will grow subscriptions, viewership, and engagement for our portfolio of sports properties, including MLS Season Pass, Friday Night Baseball, and the Apple Sports App. You will lead a team that manages the day-to-day relationships with our external sports league partners. You and your team will work closely on a daily basis with leaders across other Apple teams and video properties (e.g., Apple TV+) to align on strategic goals and long-term planning. You will support roadmap prioritization and work closely with Apple’s product and engineering teams to define business requirements for all sports programs. You will devise strategies and processes with internal teams, ensure analyses and reporting deliver meaningful, actionable insights, and present key findings and proposals to senior leaders. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of stakeholders at Apple - product, marketing, engineering, legal, analytics, finance, editorial, business development, subscriber growth, programming, and more - to ensure all business, technical, and customer experience objectives are met. To be successful in this role, you should be customer-focused, highly analytical, flexible, and team-minded, thrive in ambiguous environments, and love sports.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 12+ years of meaningful industry work experience with a deep understanding of sports and streaming.
Consistent record of successfully executing complex business and technical projects cross-functionally within a large business structure.
Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate a strong point of view clearly and succinctly.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly translate data into actionable insights; fluency with business and financial modeling.
Strong leadership and project management capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of integrating product, design, business, marketing, engineering and stakeholder considerations to support broader business objectives.
BA/BS degree required.

Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills; ability to develop strong working partnerships inside and outside of Apple.
Self-starter mentality with the ability to develop/articulate high-level strategies, translate them into goals/execution plans, and lead a large cross-functional team to deliver on them.
Comfort working effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity while delivering results with minimal guidance.
Strong commitment to the customer experience, putting the Apple user first in all decisions.
Ability to meet deadlines and reach consensus while balancing many projects and priorities.
Comfort working closely with engineering and product teams to solve complicated technical challenges.
Passion for sports, media, and consumer technology.
MBA preferred.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $222,600 and $334,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
