Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) is the Merchant Acquirer, Processor and Marketing partner for millions of merchants around the world who accept American Express Cards.

Global Strategy, Operations, and Performance (GSOP) within GMNS powers day to day operations, delivering exceptional merchant & partner experiences, while supporting GMNS in achieving its long-term goals.

This exciting role sits in Global Field Effectiveness & Enablement (GFEE) within GSOP that delivers business critical, innovative, actionable insights, tools, and recommendations to drive decision making, merchant acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to gain deep knowledge of & expertise in the US Merchant business specifically in Partner Acquisition space, the fastest growing acquisition model, and shape strategy to increase acquisition effectiveness, maximize investment returns and improve margins

The candidate should have strong technical, analytical, and project management skills, be detail oriented and be able to collaborate with colleagues in other markets. The role includes leading projects that involve partnering with multiple stakeholders, working with large datasets to generate insights, and understanding impacts to key GMNS business metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive data analyses and deep dives to deliver business insights and drive in-year benefit and long-term strategy

  • Evolve and transform existing processes to drive business value and increase the agility and effectiveness in the way we and our partners work

  • Support business planning for key scorecard metrics

  • Partner with various teams in GMNS to optimize alignment of best practices and understand / deliver on shared objectives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical & technical skills, ability to interpret data and understand complex processes with the goal to provide meaningful insights to inform business planning and strategy

  • Advanced SQL & Microsoft Excel skills with experience in coding on LUMI

  • Clear and concise with written and verbal communication. Strong presentation skills

  • A highly motivated individual with excellent project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Advanced programming expertise using MLS / Python

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
