Description
APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Lead hardware design and development strategy for display technology. Synthesize complex technical topics related to mechanical reliability, optical performance, Liquid Crystal Display /Organic Light Emitting Diode display panel technology and abstract key issues into actionable items in order to develop, validate, and ship products to customers. Establish and own the product development schedule for engineering builds to validate a multitude of design changes to the display module. Changes include optical performance improvements, power reduction, miniaturization, and novel use cases / customers experiences. Define and coordinate display technology project timelines in collaboration with a cross-functional team of mechanical, electrical, and optical engineers. Drive program execution through strategic planning, mitigating risks, prioritizing tasks, and managing milestones to meet aggressive schedules. Manage vendor relations and communications to facilitate delivery of materials, alleviate concerns, and promote a healthy business relationship between Apple and partners. International Travel Required 10%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 -$245,800/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
6 months of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Experience in product design, design ideation and convergence
Leading quality control activities, including Failure Analysis and Corrective Actions (FACA)
Supporting mechanical reliability testing, including dynamic push-on-bend, dynamic corner pull, dynamic panel peel.
Supporting environmental testing, including Operational & Non-Operational Heat-Soak, and Bubble Waterfall.
Utilizing Build Matrices, Daily Build Reports, and Clear-to-Build Reports project management tools.
Managing multi-million-dollar engineering budgets
Managing logistics and vendors in Asia.
Experience in identifying and solving optical issues
Creating and managing display hardware roadmap
