Apple’s IP Transactions team is seeking a Principal Legal Counsel with outstanding initiative, judgment, and written and verbal communication skills. The IP Transactions team is a dedicated group of attorneys with significant experience in IP litigation/assertions and licensing. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for analyzing and responding to pre-litigation IP assertions, negotiating and drafting IP license agreements, and advising our supply chain team on IP disputes.
Description
As a member of Apple's in-house IP Transactions team, you will be working to analyze, negotiate, and resolve complex, pre-litigation IP disputes and licensing matters. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires evaluating patent portfolios and related economics; collaborating across teams; planning, communicating, and executing complex negotiation strategies; and negotiating and drafting the terms of licensing and other IP-related agreements. You will help formulate and drive strategy and provide counsel to clients at all levels of management.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience (at a major law firm and/or in-house) in patent litigation and/or IP licensing transactions.
Proven track record of negotiating and drafting IP licensing or settlement agreements.
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Collaborative team player with a strong business acumen and client-focused approach.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $256,900 and $385,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
