Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for daemons and frameworks that support functionality throughout operating systems across all platforms, which requires knowledge of operating systems, computer architecture, and low-level system programming. Design, develop, and maintain software to perform management of applications in personal computing systems and coordinate operations between different processes in operating systems. Architect and develop manual and automated testing frameworks for the developed software. Triage and evaluate customer and internal bug reports. Provide design guidance, technical support, and expertise to teams across the company. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to design and deliver high-quality software features for Apple’s operating system. Beta testing Apple’s software and reporting bugs to the necessary teams. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400.00 - $220,900.00/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • Experience and/or education must include:

  • Using C or Objective-C to write low-level systems software.

  • Experience with common hardware architectures like x86_64, arm64, or arm64e to develop low-level software.

  • Experience delivering software features and fixing bugs.

  • Analyzing high-level system requirements and translating them into detailed software designs.

  • Experience in unit testing, stress testing, smoke testing, regression testing, and integration testing.

  • Debugging software using an interactive debugger to triage and root-cause issues in embedded systems.
