Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible — all while staying connected to the people around us.
This Vision Pro team is looking for Applications Engineers to help us build the next generation of features for Personas on the Apple Vision Pro. This team works with cutting edge AR/VR technology to create magical experiences for our customers with their most personal and cherished content. As a member of our organization you will assist us in crafting future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.
Description
You will work on Personas, a dynamic, natural representation of your face and hand movements that allows others to see you while you’re using Apple Vision Pro for FaceTime or other video conferencing apps on the Apple Vision Pro.
You will work closely with Apple's framework teams and Human Interface designers - pushing you to think outside-the-box, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in AR/VR.
You will work with technologies such as RealityKit, SwiftUI and ARKit. You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that will allow you to build technology that is deeply integrated into our operating systems.
Minimum Qualifications
BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
3-5+ years experience in software development
Strong fundamentals in graphics, including 3D math, geometric processing, and linear algebra
Strong programming skills in C/C++, Swift, or similar languages
Ability to collaborate and work in a highly cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with digital human articulation and rendering
Interest in neural rendering techniques, including Gaussian Splats
Experience with discrete geometric processing
Ability to work closely with designers and translate artistic intent to robust code
Experience writing shaders and doing look development
Strong artistic eye with a foundation in design, composition, color, and lighting
