Siri’s Runtime Platform team is looking for a resourceful software engineer to develop Siri’s next generation of natural interaction platforms on Apple’s innovative devices! You will join the team responsible for the intelligence that orchestrates how Siri interacts across the entire Apple ecosystem. We are specifically seeking an engineer to help advance the logic that ensures the most appropriate device seamlessly responds to user requests. You should be eager to do hands-on work to improve and build features that elevate overall Siri capabilities.

Description

You should enjoy working in a rapidly changing environment with changing priorities, be passionate about using new technologies to solve real problems and to improve the state of intelligent assistants. This role requires someone with deep expertise in developing, launching, maintaining, and extending products. A hire for this role will accelerate the team by developing standard methodologies, creating strong architecture, and delivering substantial individual technical contributions. A key focus of this position will be to create sophisticated simulation environments and evaluation datasets to model, design, and rigorously test the system policies that drive Siri's behavior. The role requires a strong ownership mindset to collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and resolve dependencies effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Strong expertise in Swift or Objective-C programming language

  • Solid experience in software development having contributed to code, code reviews, design reviews, and maintaining production systems

  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals with excellent expertise in Concurrency, Distributed Systems, and API design Experience working with large-scale data evaluation or simulation frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in design patterns

  • Experience contributing to shipping platforms or products to production and supporting them post-launch

  • Experience driving technical decision-making and software development from product definition to ship for multiple products

  • Familiarity with data modeling and algorithmic policy design
