Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Deploy and integrate solutions into development workflow. Automate analysis of AI/ML systems and fine-tuning models. Implement data processing workflows, set up training infrastructure, and develop evaluation pipelines to adapt foundation LLMs and models to internal use cases. Process and manage data, leveraging larger models for supervised learning, and designing and building evaluation metrics for the models to ensure they achieve their goals. Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. Create pipelines that combine large language models with custom knowledge bases, including vector database setup, document chunking, processing and embedding strategies, as well as implementing relevant retrieval mechanisms. Build developer tooling for AI integration and creating CLI tools, IDE/tool extensions, and internal platforms that help other engineers integrate AI capabilities into their workflows. Develop monitoring and analysis systems for AI models. Write code to track model performance metrics, detect drift, analyze failure modes, and create dashboards or alerts for model behavior in production and development environments. Collect and generate training data inputs and identifying and building output correctness metrics. Build integration layers between AI systems and existing development tools. Write APIs, webhooks, and middleware to connect AI capabilities with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, issue trackers, and other developer tools while ensuring proper error handling and logging 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $152,071.00 - $220,900.00/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor‘s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Using python to manage or build machine learning models.

  • Using continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Writing and providing feedback on design documentation.

  • Debugging software using interactive debuggers including PyCharm or IntelliJ, to triage and reproduce issues.

  • Translating design requirements into functional specifications.

  • Utilizing MarkDown or Confluence to write documentation about code functionality and use cases.

  • Writing and maintaining test automation using tools such as pyTest or xcTest.
