The Retail Online team is looking for a Tag Management Engineer to help us implement analytics for Apple Applications across web and native app platforms. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the engineering, product, and data science Teams to define tracking metrics that inform business KPIs. This role will draw upon your extensive experience as a Data Engineer to combine your technical fluency, proven sense of user experience, and business understanding to explore opportunities to elevate the retail online web experience.

Description

In the role of Tag Management Engineer for Retail Online, you will work as a member of a world-class team responsible for implementing analytics for apple.com (http://apple.com) and Apple Store App (ASA): commerce analytics, A/B testing, marketing analytics, and performance optimization. Guide the translation of business requirements into technical implementation specifications for web and native app platforms. Research and present innovative technical solutions for data collection at scale. Projects will include supporting new features and enhancements to our analytics libraries and assisting with online tracking changes needed for upcoming product launches. You will also be responsible for coordinating with our partner teams to develop and extend our solutions across other Apple web properties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or related quantitative field (Masters preferred).

  • 5+ years of front-end web development and hands-on analytics implementation experience - proficient in coding and reviewing HTML, CSS, XML, and Javascript.

  • 3+ years of Mobile App development and data collection experience

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics implementation in a native platform environment (iOS preferred). Experience with leveraging analytics API to build automated tools for dashboard reporting or for large-scale data queries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Analytics and associated Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions.

  • 3+ years minimum of project management experience and ability to balance multiple projects and assignments.

  • Analytics and data science experience to drive data-informed decision making.

  • Experience working with different tag management solutions, including direct-to-page JavaScript implementation.

  • In-depth knowledge of digital analytics, measurement and methodologies.

  • Solid understanding of Privacy Engineering principles and emerging Privacy Enhancing Technologies.

  • Passionate about privacy-centric data collection and reporting.

  • A great understanding of how digital properties are implemented and led at a global scale.

  • Flexibility to deal with rapidly changing, time-constrained launch schedules.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to naturally explain difficult technical topics to everyone from data scientists to engineers to business patterns.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $112,900 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
