Balance Transfer Analytics VP Wilmington, DE

As a Barclays Balance Transfer Analytics VP, you will be responsible for all analytics, financial valuation and optimization of the balance transfer (BT) program that the US Consumer Bank offers to existing credit card members. You will collaborate to determine optimal program targeting strategy for BT program to achieve USCB’s profitability goals, shape analytical test & learn agenda, continuously monitor programs’ performance and create business cases to optimize BT program’s performance.

What will you be doing?

• Lead the team of analysts to continuously analyze program’s performance and make improvements to the targeting strategy to support the bank’s wallet share and profitability • Lead the team to design, execute and read results of foundational testing agenda for BT program • Adapt and revise the program as needed for newly purchased portfolios • Identify gaps and areas for enhancements in reporting infrastructure, both from the KPI perspective and from the speed to market delivery of reports via business intelligence tools • Work with vendors to test and evaluate new product offerings such as data elements and statistical models • Meet with vendors and internal business partners such as Technology to identify new sources of data and technology innovations to drive incremental value for USCB • Provide executive level business updates to Credit and Data Analytics senior leadership, Customer Revenue Management senior leadership and other senior stakeholders • Present analysis & influence senior management and peers with contrasting views

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s Degree in an analytical / statistical discipline is required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research or related quantitative field) • Significant analytical experience in financial services, insurance, marketing or other data driven industry • 2+ years of team management experience • Solid understanding of financial profit and loss (P&L) constructs, individual P&L components and their interactions, cash flows and NPV

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Credit cards, retail bank or lending financial services industry experience is preferred • Balance transfer analytics, marketing valuation and optimization, risk strategy, valuation model development experience is preferred • Knowledge and experience with statistical/business intelligence software such as SAS, Python, SQL, Tableau is preferred
