Description
As a member of the Keynote team you will collaborate with developers and designers to develop new features that are used by our customers around the world. Your contributions will have a major impact on well-established but dynamic software used and loved by millions of people whose spreadsheets, documents, and presentations range from school reports to Apple’s own keynote events.
Apple’s Keynote team is responsible for the world’s most well-loved presentation software, including its custom animation engine and the builds and transitions that it powers. We're looking for someone to help improve the UI, feature set, and visual “wow” factor for millions of users on macOS, iOS, and the web. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating high-quality, high-performance, and visually-engaging graphics and animations.
Keynote engineers are consistently challenged with large technical projects. You will work with teammates to develop features, fix bugs, and improve the capabilities across the app. In this position you will learn from experienced Keynote engineers, and influence the direction of the product. In addition to creating exciting consumer-facing software, you will contribute to code reviews, automated testing and infrastructure changes to help us create great software.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience programming skills in two or more of these languages: C, Objective-C, C++, Swift, Javascript
Ability to visualize and implement high-level animation and graphical concepts
Demonstrated experience with Metal, OpenGL, WebGL, Vulkan, or similar GPU API
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with computer graphics research (SIGGRAPH, GDC, etc.)
Development experience with macOS or iOS (Xcode, Instruments, etc.)
Experience with CoreGraphics and CoreAnimation
Experience with RealityKit, SceneKit, Unity, Unreal, or other high-level 3D API
Experience with low-level media APIs (AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, etc.)
Experience with Motion, After Effects, or other animation editing tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Excitement and passion for building amazing consumer products.
