Description
We are seeking a talented, analytical, and results-oriented Pricing Analyst to join our Category Management team. This role will lead the execution of pricing strategy, cost analysis, and Request for Proposal/Pricing (RFP) management across key supplier categories, supporting data-driven decisions that impact profitability and customer satisfaction. You will serve as a strategic partner to internal teams including Sales, Purchasing, and Finance, and help standardize our approach to competitive pricing and proposal execution; both Customer and Supplier facing.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full RFP/RFI process including timeline coordination, supplier communication, data analysis, and proposal evaluation.
Partner with Sr. Pricing Analysts and Category Managers to execute pricing updates, maintain margin integrity, and support profit improvement initiatives.
Analyze customer pricing, cost changes, and supplier quote data to develop actionable insights and pricing recommendations to Sales.
Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and scorecards that communicate pricing trends, market shifts, and RFP performance metrics.
Lead cost modeling and sensitivity analysis to assess pricing scenarios and margin impacts, in partnership with the Category Managers.
Work cross-functionally to streamline the pricing approval process and ensure accurate price change execution.
Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to gather accurate product, cost, and availability information.
Prepare financial and pricing reports that guide operational and strategic business decisions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase pricing accuracy, proposal effectiveness, and organizational efficiency.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within teams.
Understanding of commodity market volatility and the impact on product costs
Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex annual financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
Ability to prioritize work and ensure all needed tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
High level of maturity and confidence necessary to interact with sophisticated internal and external clients
Strong leadership and customer service skills with the ability to ensure that a high level of service and quality is maintained
Product knowledge with clear technical understanding of services to be able to effectively communicate to customer
Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines
Outstanding attention to detail, flexibility and creativity
Persistence coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of shared information and/or assignments
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field required; MBA preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in pricing, category management, RFP management, or supply chain analytics.
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills required; experience with ERP systems and large datasets preferred.
Demonstrated success in analyzing complex data and simplifying insights into clear business decisions.
Understanding of cost structures, margin management, and commodity price volatility.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across teams.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
