Membership Portfolio Services, within our US Consumer Services Business, is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. How will you make an impact in this role?
The Senior Analyst, Amex Offers Oversight & Excellence sits within the Amex Offers Digital Media team reporting to the Sr. Manager, Amex Offers Oversight & Excellence. This individual will be responsible for strengthening operational risk across Amex Offers by executing core operational excellence activities, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and maintaining oversight of key governance, risk and control processes. As part of a growing and evolving business, this role helps establish the foundational controls, processes and discipline needed to enable scalable growth and support ongoing transformation across the organization.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day operational excellence and regulatory activities including business continuity programs, audits, exams by tracking deliverables and follow-ups between 1 st Line and 2 nd Line partner teams.
Maintain centralized tracking of issues, operational risk events, and remediation plans with follow up with stakeholders on key milestones, flag delays and support overall reporting to ensure progress toward closure.
Partner closely with Sr. Manager to manage project tracking for new product governance (AEMP54), risk assessment and development of required controls, processes, and procedures to enable Amex Ads and future capabilities.
Assist with the execution of compliance and AEMP policy initiatives, including the development and management of Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) to ensure ongoing business relevance, as well as the on-going maintenance of documentation and coordination for control testing activities.
Manage and maintain training material, onboarding content, and process documentation to ensure updates reflect latest controls, policies, and business requirements.
Collaborate closely with partners through Control Management, Compliance, GCO, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Product and Capabilities teams to support day-to-day coordination, ensuring activities, deliverables and dependencies are tracked and progressed across this highly cross-functional environment.
Execute and enhance control activities across the business by performing control monitoring and testing, supporting the design and implementation of new controls targeting effectiveness and aligned to evolving regulatory and business requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Strong understanding of marketing principles, processes, and best practices.
Experience in marketing operations, process improvement, or project management.
Experience with internal compliance and operational risk management frameworks (e.g. Process Risk Self-Assessments, Risk Control Self-Assessments, Operational Risk Events, etc).
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Proven ability to drive change and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
