The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels.
The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle. Within USCM, the Marketing Analytics & Investment Services team (MA&IS) delivers data-driven decision making, analytics & business planning to drive profitable growth through personalization strategy and optimized investment decisions.
Director of Data Analytics, Customer Inbound Channel Targeting & Analytics * * as part of MA&IS team will be responsible for leading inbound channel (Phone, Chat, American Express Website & Mobile Application) marketing analytics and channel targeting strategies for US Consumer Customer Growth portfolio. This Director will play a lead role in delivering on existing customer marketing and engagement roadmap to accelerate revenue growth through innovative targeting solutions, drive investment efficiency and steer test & learn agenda to elevate customer experience with key focus on American Expresses digital channels , in close partnership with stakeholders across the enterprise.
This role is uniquely positioned to leverage a variety of skills including strategy, campaign design & testing, data-driven insights, forecasting & planning, and partner collaboration. Building and leveraging strong relationships across US Consumer, Marketing, Product Management, Technology, Decision Science, and other teams is essential. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented individual who has demonstrated sound leadership skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to innovate on transformational marketing & targeting approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead targeting and analytics across customer growth marketing (card and non-card). This includes developing targeting logic and segmentation strategies, channel optimization, campaign design, forecasting, planning & performance tracking.
Analyzing consumer data and end-to-end campaign processes to inform business strategy and transform customer marketing & personalization journeys across multiple channels and treatments.
Lead with process governance & control management mindset to streamline existing processes and set the right controls across the targeting ecosystem.
Develop and foster cross functional relationships with partners across American Express to ensure project prioritization and implementation.
Work in a dynamic, fast changing environment, with attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to influence and craft analytical stories for senior audiences.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of AXP’s data, campaign technologies, marketing, servicing systems and ability to remove technical barriers in the campaign execution processes.
Experience with AXP owned channels like email, MYCA, phone, etc., is a plus
Ability to multi-task, operate effectively under changing conditions and prioritize initiatives based on business objectives.
Strong ability to drive results. Excellent collaborator with ability to effectively lead and drive.
Strong people leader – proven track record of developing strong talent & building diverse teams.
5 years of work experience leading business strategies leveraging analytics/data science. MBA or equivalent degree in economics, statistics, finance, mathematics, etc. preferred.

Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
