Our group is looking for a highly motivated Performance Engineer to optimize software design for Apple’s latest products, including the next generation of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac etc.

Description

As a key member of Connectivity Firmware Performance team you will work on software design, testing and optimization from early prototypes until productization! The work involves devising performance evaluation methodologies on SW/HW prototypes, analyzing logs, and making recommendations for implementing in software based on trade-off analysis at a system & product level.

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have a strong understanding in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, or related protocols

  • You have a background or research experience in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications

  • You have experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause issues

  • You're experienced with Python for testing, data analysis, and visualization

  • You have knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite

  • You have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • You're experienced with power, performance trade-off analysis

  • MS or PhD

  • You approach problems flexibly, adjusting strategies as needed for practical solutions

  • You're focused on priorities and drive efforts toward achieving results

  • You're experienced working across various layers of Wireless System Architecture

  • You stay curious, and continually seek to learn and improve processes
