Job Description

Purpose

The Specialist, HR Knowledge Content, is responsible for managing and enhancing the organization's HR knowledge base. This role involves creating, curating, and maintaining high-quality HR-related content to ensure employees have access to accurate and useful information. It also includes overseeing portal functionalities such as carousel, quick links, and applications, and requires an understanding of AI and AVA (AbbVie Virtual Assistance) to optimize automated HR inquiries. The Specialist collaborates closely with HR teams and other stakeholders to align content with organizational needs and standards.

The Knowledge Content role is accountable for creating, tagging and enhancing all knowledge content within the HRConnect portal. This applies to both HRConnect documentation for the shared service center and HRConnect employee facing knowledge content.

Responsibilities

  • Content Management & Creation:

  • Create new HR knowledge articles, FAQs, guides, and other resources upon request.

  • Ensure content is up-to-date, and aligned with company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with HR and subject matter experts to gather information and insights as needed.

  • Oversee the organization and categorization of HR knowledge content to enhance accessibility.

  • Implement best practices for content management to ensure ease of use and retrieval.

  • Monitor the usage and effectiveness of HR content, partnering with HR teams for improvements and optimization.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work with HR teams to identify content needs and priorities.

  • Collaborate closely with global & regional HR stakeholders to ensure content is updated promptly and accurately to meet Knowledge Management expectations.

  • Engage in the design or redesign of HR Portal pages and address any additional requests from stakeholders, including but not limited to the creation of new Carousels, quick links, and applications.

  • Liaise with global & regional HR stakeholders to identify new knowledge authors when current ones move to another role or leave AbbVie.

  • Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support on effectively using the HR knowledge base, as needed.

  • Develop resources to assist employees in navigating and utilizing HR content.

  • Partner with BTS (Business Technology Solutions) and DDS (Data & Digital Strategy) to ensure seamless and smooth operation of the HR Portal.

  • Lead and/or monitor Knowledge Management team projects to ensure expectations are consistently met or exceeded, as required.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Regularly review and audit content for accuracy, relevance, and compliance.

  • Gather feedback from portal users and connect with stakeholders to improve the quality of HR knowledge materials.

  • Partner with global & regional HR stakeholders to enhance content through analytics and user feedback.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in website design, knowledge management or content creation.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to conceptualize and organize projects.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and make decisions under pressure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, complemented by strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in an additional language is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with digital content creation tools and/or Content Experience Management a plus.

  • Experience with ServiceNow HRSD, ServiceNow Knowledge Management, HR systems, Shared Services, HR Operations, or Workday is a plus.

  • Preferred experience in content builder, editing, copywriting, source code management, and/or formatting documents for publication.

  • Familiarity with AI technologies and tools.

  • Experience with virtual assistance platforms and other AI-driven applications relevant to HR processes is a plus.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Salary: $64,000 - $122,000
