DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented, onsite Health, Safety and Environmental Technician to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Upfit Center in De Pere, Wisconsin.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provides technical support on health and safety to production and site personnel under the guidance of the site HSE leader.

  • Assists in the implementation, analysis, review and sustainability of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems and determine gaps within corporate HSE initiatives and local health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Actively participate in Health and Safety inspection, audit programs and assist in the analysis of safety related trends and employee development.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of hazard identification, incident investigation and risk assessment processes by building an understanding of HSE culture and communicating effectively to create safety awareness including delivery of training.

  • Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard through internal reporting processes while maintaining confidentiality and appropriate recordkeeping standards, providing guidance to the site on internal reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience in a Health and Safety environment within a manufacturing setting.

  • Excellent communication skills needed with ability to interact within all levels of the Organization (local and Corporate) and external stakeholders with a focus on customer service.

  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, environmental regulations and safety protocols, proficient in Microsoft applications and HSE Software.

  • Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, multi-task, take ownership and drive a project/task effectively and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • Two or four year University Degree in Industrial Safety preferred.

  • Obtain or working towards professional certification (GSP, ASP, CSP) preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
