Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Provide logistical and analytical support to the Supply Demand Management team regarding the production capacity at iPhone factories by creating supply reports in Microsoft Excel for SDM team to allocate iPhones to customers. Pull data from factory production reports, analyze data, and draw conclusions based on analytics in order to ensure supply meets customer demand and supply upside opportunities. Communicate results of analysis to upper management as well as cross functional teams in a clear and concise manner using presentation of software, graphs, charts or other methods based on the specific audience either doing presentations or providing in written form over email. Work closely with the local Apple team, production site and contract manufacturers to streamline order cycle times and build in production flexibility. Work with factories in Brazil to manage overall iPhone capacity and negotiate costs for building iPhones. Drive the overall operations schedule, production planning and materials readiness to meet product development schedule landmarks, including ensuring forecasted materials are prepared to build finished goods. Plan optimally for short-term and long-term capacity by working closely with CapEx, technical teams, and supply chain partners. Run daily meetings with the teams and follow up to ensure the schedule is on track and communicate to all levels in the organization for any issues/delays. International Travel Required 25%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $162,760 - $227,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial and Operations Engineering, Business Operations, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Demonstrating manufacturing experience in product building, factory operations, and operator training in the factory

  • Performing program management to handle manufacturing issues such as quality issues and field issues and using tools including Powerpoint to communicate across different geographies

  • Conducting capacity planning for all final assemble factories to ensure demand is being accurately loaded at the factories and supply can meet that demand

  • Using Microsoft Excel for sharing capacity plans with cross-functional teams who can then use it for allocation for customers across the world

  • Using Powerpoint for communication and presentation for manufacturing and quality issues

  • Using Tableau to create dashboards for faster access to information which is a user-friendly UI interface to navigate through the supply, materials, and factory sites information across multiple teams

  • Using Oracle Agile to understand the BOM parts, confirm if BOM is loaded correctly, and identify relevant issues and solutions

  • Using SAP to understand the PO flow and monitor the inventory for SKUs in the factory or Hubs
