Description

As a Screening & Integration Engineer on the Apple Watch Intelligent System Experience team, you will triage incoming bugs, analyze logs, and prioritize issues for key components of watchOS. You will be expected to use large language models and other AI tools to quickly and efficiently identify the most important bug reports filed by Apple employees and external developers, and identify root causes and regression points to speed up the bug fix lifecycle. You will drive our day-to-day process around bug and source code management in service of creating high-quality intelligent experiences and improvements for our customers and developers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious, and technically savvy teammate who can juggle a variety of tasks efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • Familiarity with consumer-facing software development processes

  • Expertise with bug tracking systems

  • Experience with source control (git experience preferred)

  • Familiarity with Apple operating systems, especially watchOS and iOS

  • Experience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems

  • Familiarity with large language models and adjacent generative AI tools, including skills, agents, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)

  • Practical experience with command line tools, UNIX, Linux, or Terminal

  • Experience with scripting languages, like Python, JavaScript, or shell scripting (zsh, bash)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Apple development tools (Xcode, Instruments)

  • Knowledge of Objective-C and Swift, and frameworks including SwiftUI

  • Experience debugging software issues

  • Experience with data analytics and understanding large data sets

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
