Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop and validate silicon chip and system for commercial product and system. Understand system behaviour from the spec including the worst case scenario and corner cases. Understand general silicon behaviour (clock, temperature) to improve yield of the chip and test coverage. Write test scripts to validate system to find bug before mass production. Utilize script language to write Python scripts for the purpose of test case implementation. Analyze error behaviour by running the implemented test scripts and prove the root cause with writing the script to ensure the problem is solved. Employ FPGA/Emulator to verify system before arrival of silicon and to shorten the silicon bring-up time. Manage lab equipment (scope, logic analyzer) and control thru the script. Understand C code to debug and verify the system behaviour controlled by FW. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Utilizing Python, including experience writing the silicon test scripts, automating lab equipment and analyzing collected data
Experience in Lab Equipment Control Oscilloscope, Power meter, Signal generator, and experience in PVT and Logic Analyzer to debug silicon
Utilizing Chip Interface (SPI, I2C, and JTAG) to program and initialize silicon
Experience in C, understanding silicon behaviour, and working with FW engineer to debug silicon
Experience in FPGA, running test scripts, and debugging hardware
Experience in analyzing error behaviour, and identifying difference of silicon behaviour compared to chip spec
Reading the chip spec and building test scenario for silicon design validation.
Running RTL simulation and collecting debugging data.
