Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Execute performance tests and evaluation to ensure the delivery components for Apple Communications Platform can handle peak volume traffic. Participate in requirements gathering and design reviews for new features. Add new unit tests for existing code to increase the code coverage percentage. Perform detailed design for new platform software features and hands-on development for scalable application services. Develop new code and manage existing code by working solo or as part of a group effort. Own and review deliverables for accuracy, quality, performance, and completeness. Work with project managers and technical teams from different business groups within Apple in a cross-functional environment to implement quality projects that meet business goals. Develop high-quality modern Java applications to send transactional communications to Apple customers. Analyze business requirements, brainstorm technology ideas and building efficient solutions. Complete projects with minimal supervision and direction. Test, debug and troubleshoot issues as they are found during software release cycle. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,713 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Sciences, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Using Java to add new features a Software server-side application

  • Using Agile Software development methodology to deliver new features to a Software server-side application.

  • Using SQL to create data in database and update or extract data from database

  • Using Software Performance testing techniques to benchmark a Software server-side application

  • Using Message Queueing to implement asynchronous processing of transactions

  • Using REST APIs to integrate with third-party software services

  • Using J2EE to add new features to a Software server-side application
