How will you make an impact in this role?

The Enterprise Comm’s & Mar-Tech Experiences (ECMX) team is a Marketing Centre of Excellence formed to support business units across the enterprise. This role will support the ECMX organization and is responsible for growing the American Express brand in more than 150 countries around the world.

As a Manager this individual will be responsible for leading solutioning for projects spanning our Enterprise Objectives, including transformations, innovations, proof of concepts, migrations, etc. This role will help define and build the future of our ecosystem by creating solutions, architecture, project plans and roadmaps across the Eligibility Engagement Ecosystem. In this role you will be a part of the Martech Transformation using Adobe CDP suite. This team plays a critical role in overall Marketing targeting audience setup, execution and fulfillment of marketing offers across multiple channels. You will partner with colleagues in Product, Engineering, and Business. You will work closely with Marketers, Data Analysts, Technical Architects, and Product Owners on the creation and delivery of Features. This individual will be responsible for creating and presenting updates and roadmaps to leadership on a regular cadence.

This individual will run Stakeholder and Leadership Communications, escalating potential roadblocks, tracking milestones, identifying and documenting issues, and celebrating successes. Success in this role will be directly related to the individual’s ability to effectively engage, learn, and deliver high quality solutions while working with a large and diverse set of stakeholders and team members. An ideal candidate will be interested in product solutions design, technology modernization, and Mar-Tech Products. The candidate should be a quick-learner, curious problem solver and adept at working in a fast-paced environment.

This individual will be responsible for identifying and translating needs into actionable artifacts that truly meet the business needs. This individual will conduct full lifecycle activities that include discovery to identify business needs, requirements analysis and design using SAFE/Agile methodology.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and communicate across multiple VP groups and stakeholders.

  • Work closely with technical architects to form a solution for internal projects and capabilities.

  • Identify gaps/pain points in marketing process flow and capabilities and translate into actionable features.

  • Collaborate across the business to uncover true business needs and ensure solutions effectively and scalable to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify and document needs.

  • Create and manage documentation at project level.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, Marketing operations, Design, Engineering, DevOPS, Info security.

  • Ability to contribute to overall MarTech product design, roadmap & work in partnership with key stakeholders at local and global to launch new functionalities and feature enhancements, aligned to product OKRs

  • Contribute to the creation of Rally/JIRA/Confluence artifacts for development teams.

  • Assign and coordinate dev requirements with Product Owner teams.

  • Be creative thinker, able to re-envision existing processes to support new product development and product improvements.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) - required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a Financial and/or Professional Services Firm – required

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (certification preferred) – required

  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms & related tool sets, e.g. Adobe CDP, Journey Optimizer, Workfront, Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, mParticle, Segment. -required

  • Self-motivated/self-directed/self-learner – required.

  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail, handling, and prioritization of multiple priorities, managing tight timelines -required.

  • Ability to translate technical terminology to business partners and business requirements to technology partners-required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills including ability to gather and interpret various types of data – preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience in data management, including data mapping, governance, schema creation and customer data modeling.

  • Analytics expertise – preferred

  • Experience with compliance, privacy, risk, legal and audit procedures – preferred

  • Experience writing Features, User Stories and Tasks in Confluence and/or Jira - preferred.

  • Experience in Agile software development process such as Scrum. SAFe training and certification a plus.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
