We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role qualifying critical software and the frameworks that support it during all stages of software development. We practice nimble, fast-paced development that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering, Project Management, and QA.
Description
As a member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a small team of highly skilled engineers to bring new, Generative-AI enabled experiences to Apple products. You will work with experienced engineers, designers, and machine learning experts to qualify and refine features that delight users as well as form a solid technical foundation for future development. In this position you will need to be self-directed, creative, and comfortable with change and ambiguity. Strong technical and interpersonal skills are all essential.
Responsibilities include:
Functional testing of experience features on iOS platform, sometimes across concurrent release vectors
Creative manual testing
Design and implementation of test plans and test cases
Risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system
Maintain a qualitative, high level understanding of area of responsibility
Investigation and debugging on Unix based systems to triage difficult problems and work towards resolution
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience working in Software Quality Assurance
An enthusiasm for user-focused design and shipping high-quality technology
Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
Proven experience creating test plans for new products and features
Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams
Excellent communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
Curiosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguity
Proficiency with iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS or similar operating systems
B.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
While the following skills aren’t required, knowledge of one or more of these areas would be valuable:
Familiarity with AI principles and Foundation Models
Track record of working cross-functionally and building strong partnerships amongst teams and individuals
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $280,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
