Apple’s Vision Products Group is seeking a hands-on, seasoned Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in developing applications and test frameworks for media streaming experiences. As a SDET Engineer in our growing organization, you will work to drive software quality for customer-facing Media apps and Media Frameworks while working cross-functionally in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for shipping world-class user experiences for the spatial media ecosystem and acting as the voice of our end-users. We are seeking a highly skilled SDET with strong expertise in media streaming, video playback, and automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality media experiences across devices and platforms. You’ll work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to build scalable, automated test solutions and validate end-to-end media workflows. We are looking for an Automation Engineer who can work and contribute towards developing applications and tools for Apple Media technologies using C/C++ and Swift frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent.

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering/SDET

  • Working knowledge of one or more higher-level development languages, C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, Python

  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools

  • Experience with video streaming technology (HLS/DASH), familiarity with network analysis tools (Charles Proxy, Wireshark)

  • Knowledge of Apple Platform development using Xcode, C/C++, and Swift

  • Prior experience with developing applications and experience testing frameworks

  • Proactive self-starter with a keen eye for details, with a focus on end-user experiences and the ability to go above and beyond to ensure a high-quality release

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Hands-on experience working with AR/VR products and ecosystems

  • Experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile applications, and experiences

  • Working knowledge of Apple's operating systems and Apple ecosystem products

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
