Infrastructure Data & Analytics aims to establish and reinforce a culture of effective metrics, data-driven business processes, architecture simplification, and cost transparency.
As the Data Science team in Infrastructure Data & Analytics is building and deploying machine learning (ML) models and Gen AI solutions, we are looking for a senior data engineer to build and deploy data engineering pipelines in production that support these ML models and AI/Gen AI solutions. This is an individual contributor role with responsibilities ranging from hands-on coding, debugging, documentation to stakeholder management and presentations.

If you are a pioneer in building data pipelines and data-based storytelling, you'll find a fit in our Data Science team within Infrastructure Data & Analytics. To succeed in this newly forming team, you’ll need to be comfortable navigating ambiguity to stand up solutions 0?1 while discovering and leveraging enterprise platforms and best practices.
Here’s just some of what you’ll do:
Create and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest data from a wide variety of structured and unstructured data sources that support ML models and Gen AI solutions
Own the data pipeline build from identifying business problems, discovery through interviewing stakeholders, hands-on coding, analyzing data & results to delivering production grade solutions at scale
Implement automated data quality frameworks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our incoming data sources
Manage all technical aspects of data architecture and database management, including developing prototypes, new database structures, and application programming interfaces
Transform logical data architectures into physical designs and continuously improve database design and performance
Maintain our database and data pipelines across cloud and on-premises systems including but not limited to S3 buckets, vector database and knowledge graph database
Drive high-level and detailed technical design and architecture conversations. Ensure best practices are aligned with Enterprise Architecture and Decision Science COEs
Own and deliver documentation and processes required for privacy risk assessment, model governance and enterprise data governance
Innovate and elevate the department and enterprise to adopt new solutions that are already a best practice within the industry
Generate insightful data visualization and reports to aid in decision-making based on data availability, data quality and understand usage statistics
Lead training sessions and create comprehensive documentation to empower the data science team and broader department
Provide technical mentorship to team members at junior levels including peer code reviews
Function as member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and CI/CD pipelines)
Are you up for the challenge? Here’s what you should have:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, engineering, computer science or a STEM field; advanced degree preferred
5 years of experience writing accurate and effective code for data manipulation and analysis in SQL and Python
Experience building scalable data pipelines working with high volumes of both structured and unstructured data
Knowledge of Big Data / NoSQL design and development with variety of data stores (document, column family, graph, vector DB etc.)
Experience with scaling search across vectorDB and GraphDB in a Graph-RAG architecture is a plus
Knowledge of database management system products and ecosystem - e.g., storage formats, access algorithms, data management processes, administration, data maintenance, replication, high availability, encryption, etc.
Knowledge of XML/JSON and schema development/reuse, relational database management systems with proficiency in SQL/BigQuery
Hands-on expertise with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, application development and automated testing
Experience working with modern data storage, processing, orchestration technologies including creating CI/CD pipelines with Github Actions
Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex data issues in simple terms to a diverse audience
A self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and the resilience required to innovate
Qualifications
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually bonus benefits
