Description
APPLE INC has the following available in New York, New York. Design and build a new generation of Machine Learning platform and core infrastructure for the Ads Platform organization. Apply leading-edge technologies to engineer machine learning infrastructure that will be used for developing machine learned models that help connect Apple users and advertisers while delivering on Apple's privacy commitments. Perform essential work in the full cycle of algorithm innovation from experimentation to deploying predictive applications. Design and build complex large-scale and distributed software systems in cloud computing environments like AWS Exposure to machine learning platform, methodology, lifecycle and A/B testing Fluency in programming languages like Java, Scala, Python and SQL. Utilize data-oriented workflow orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Kubeflow, etc. Collaborate with Data Scientists to define the appropriate metrics to use for A/B experiments. Implement guard rails to detect anomalies in experiment results. Define and utilize the right allocation mechanism while assigning users to experiments. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Building and deploying Machine Learning models to production using data processing tools including Spark.
Working on A/B Testing infrastructure and/or methodologies using experience with multi-variate experimentation, and metrics generation/measurement.
Proficiency in computer languages, including Java, Scala, and Python, to support Machine Learning components.
Using database languages (SQL and NoSQL) to build applications.
Designing large-scale, distributed system components using various design methodologies (i.e., Serverless, Client-Server, DDD, etc.).
Using alerting and observability tools, including DataDog or Splunk, to monitor systems in production.
Optimizing system performance using data structures and algorithms.
