Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Seattle, Washington. Designing, building, and growing Apple’s foundational privacy-focused platform, which enables many of Apple’s signature apps and experiences. Partnering with teams across Apple to develop features that enable new experiences in the Apple ecosystem. Improving the scalability, availability, and performance of our services. Evolving the platform’s design and architecture to support continued growth across multiple dimensions; and Partnering with Site Reliability Engineering team to triage, investigate, and remediate production issues
40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $180,710.00 - $210,100.00/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

  • 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:

  • Building and operating large-scale, multi-tiered data storage system that support a wide range of tenants using Cassandra, PostgreSQL, or FDB

  • Designing and developing distributed data storage services that are immensely scalable and fault-tolerant using Java, Spring, or C++ Scaling and maintaining highly concurrent, multi-threaded, and throughput-intensive services on cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and cloud-native technologies such as Containers, Kubernetes, or gRPC

  • Utilizing synchronous and asynchronous network application I/O frameworks such as Netty

  • Optimizing and tuning services performance with high-performance caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached, or Caffeine

  • Improving request latency and generating system background operations with event streaming and queueing systems such as Kafka or Pravega

  • Developing software in object-oriented programming language such as Java

  • Utilizing AWS and cloud-native technologies such as Containers, Kubernetes, or gRPC
