In this role, you will join the Apple Retail Engineering FrontEnd team as a FrontEnd Engineer, contributing to the development and enhancement of Apple’s e-commerce platform. Your responsibilities will include the construction and maintenance of high-performance web applications, ensuring seamless customer experiences across various devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative design concepts.
Description
Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications for Apple’s Online Store in collaboration with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers.
Write clean, modular, and reusable code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and React.js.
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and user engagement, delivering seamless experiences for millions globally.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross-browser issues, and enforce code quality through peer reviews and testing.
Stay ahead of emerging web technologies and contribute to enhancing frontend architecture.
Uphold the highest standards in security, accessibility (WCAG), and design fidelity.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of front-end development experience with high-scale web applications.
Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, Vue.js, or Angular.
Deep understanding of frontend architecture, component-driven development, and state management.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of browser internals, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Experience with server-side rendering (Next.js, Nuxt.js).
Background in performance monitoring, web vitals, and real-time debugging tools.
Ability to drive frontend platform improvements, set best practices, and mentor engineers.
Proven ability to influence technical decisions and drive large-scale initiatives.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
